Tyson Gay ahead of Usain Bolt
Tyson Gay is the current news after he defeated Usain Bolt in the 100m race in Stockholm. From dash to his famous mid surge to the finishing lead, Bolt looked diminishing his spark. Despite achieving the formidable feat Gay remained grounded and blamed the form and fitness of Bolt, the prime reason for the poor run.

"Usain's goal this year was to go undefeated, not set world records," said the American Champ, who depicted tempo, strategy and energy management while running the 9.84sec winning lapse. "He knows what his limitations are this year; he has plenty left in the tank. Yes, it felt great to beat him but deep down inside I know he is not 100 per cent. I look forward to beating him when he is 100 per cent," he further supported Bolt generously.

It was extremely humbling to hear such outrageously appreciative comments for a man who had defeated Gay twice while tarnishing world records on both occasions. Gay’s charismatic leap was especially noticeable when the highly compromising figures of Bolt were noted at 9.97. The usual thunder magic was missing in Bolt’s performance; his body spoke mediocrity just as his figures.

The speed maestros are yet to meet soon at the Samsung Diamond League in Brussels at the end of this August. They might show up for their nations at the sprint relay at Zurich. Super active Gay is also appearing in the Aviva meeting this weekend taking place at Crystal Palace.

"I still need to work on my strength," Bolt unleashed after Friday's lost touch. "The first 10 metres was rubbish. I had no power, no nothing. I have tried to work on it but it didn't work out." Bolt’s fitness due to his Achilles problems has forced him to quit training for five to six weeks, but Bolt further lightly complemented his complacency over an “easy season” before coming year’s World Championship and further ahead.

There may have been many commercial eyebrows raised at Bolt’s honesty but the last two years of Bolt had nothing but a startling redefinition for the sport as well as the record books particularly for 100 and 200 meters events.

The second fastest man in this history must take notes at the propelling improvement of Gay and his consistently progressive figures. Bolt will have to break his own 9.58 world barrier, in order to stay in good books of records as well as his fans, nevertheless- the sponsors market.
