Hurricane Earl rushing towards East Coast

Hurricane Earl, a category 4 strength hurricane, is located about 4300 miles south of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina with maximum winds sustained at 140mph. 

Hurricane warning is in effect for Bogue Inlet, NC. Hurricane watch is in effect for north of NC / VA border to Cape Henlopen, DE and from Westport to Plymouth, MA including Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

As of Thursday evening, heavy rainfall and gusty winds are expected throughout North Carolina. As of late Thursday night coastal areas of Virgina along with Delaware, New Jersey and New York will see heavy rainfall and gusty winds.
