Suzuku, Mitsubishi and Ford to recall tens of thousands of vehicles

October 29th 2010

The car recall fashion was probably initiated by Toyota; later on BMW followed the trend. We thought it was the end of this recall debacle, we were all wrong.

The following news came in on last Friday.

Suzuki, Mitsubishi and Ford are prepping up for a recall as well. The top of the list has Suzuki’s name etched on it, with more than 70,000 vehicles. The remaining 20,000 is equally divided among Ford and Mitsubishi.

The 2007 and 2010 models of Suzuki SX4 are said to have faulty windscreens. The Japanese automaker fears that the three pivotal screws that are responsible for holding the screen in position can come lose and bring down the glass atop the driver.

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi’s recall is related to the 2006 and 2008 models of Endeavor. Those cars have a faulty heater. Some owners even complained about a faulty air conditioner; in both cases, riding the Mitsubishi Endeavor during Summers won’t be a fun thing.

Finally, we come down to Ford Motors. Their recall concerns the latest Edge and Lincoln MKX models. The automaker is pulling a recall on 71 models that are reported to have a faulty rear Lift Gate mechanism. The fault came through the factory, so the automaker is hell bent on redeeming it.
